The mission of DWCO is to increase the occupational, personal and family well-being of corrections and detention staff. DWCO is comprised of mental health professionals, retired correctional staff, and other concerned citizens who care about corrections and detention staff and their families.

THE CORRECTIONS VENTLINE
Working in corrections or detention can be highly stressful. The ripple effects of work pressures can affect your home life. Sometimes you and your loved ones need a safety valve, a place to vent. At other times you may need support to handle situations which at the time might seem overwhelming. Through the Corrections Ventline, the DWCO offers you a "listening ear," a steadying hand, and a safe place to explore your feelings, thoughts and options. All staff of correctional and detention facilities, as well as community corrections staff, parole, and probation, and their significant others can call the Corrections Ventline.
