 The Institute for Prison Ministries

 

Purpose

The purpose of the Advisory Committee is to assist the Director in accomplishing the mission, vision, and goals of the Institute for Prison Ministries.

Roles

The Advisory Committee has the following functions:

• To inform the Director concerning current trends and issues within correctional ministries.

• To advise the Director concerning program direction and development, and specific strategies
   to meet program goals. 

• To advise the Director concerning research and partnerships.

• To promote the services and programs of IPM.  

Composition

The composition of the Advisory Committee is to be diverse in the following areas: culture, gender, and geography. In addition to the IPM Director and the IPM Program Coordinator, the Committee Members will represent various areas within correctional ministry.

Qualifications of Advisory Members

Committee members will be selected by invitation only by the IPM Director based on their personal commitment to Jesus Christ and their expertise.
